Indian art, culture, music and cuisine are known for their exquisite fineness and refinement. Due to intense social pursuit of economic and technological advancement, however, this invaluable cultural asset is fast assuming lesser prominence, particularly among the youth; and one can well foresee a time when these shall be buried under the socio-economic- political machinery and the glitter of technology.

Behind the corporeal manifestation of Indian culture in the form of art, music, and cuisine is the very soul of such culture, a deep science founded on devotion to the Supreme Lord. These are expressions of sublime devotional feelings and deep sentiments. This vital aspect of culture is often unnoticed and not depicted by popular renditions of the Indian heritage. This scientific basis of Indian culture is based on the sublime and beautiful teachings of the Vedas, in particular, the Srimad Bhagavatam and the Bhagavad Gita. When presented in its original devotional form, art, music, philosophy etc. can soothe, transform disturbed hearts, infuse meaning and purpose into the lives of people and drive away all evils that plague the society at large. Such transformation of heart is the very purpose of Indian culture and art.

Keeping this purpose in heart, a few Software Engineers working in top MNCs have decided to have weekly gathering on Saturday to discuss the timeless science of Bhagavad Gita and how to practically apply these teachings to deal with the problems that the modern day world brings in.

Any sincere participant will not fail to appreciate that such a cultural presentation in very much the need of todays disturbed world for it brings in much wanted peace, sanity, and meaning into the lives of people.
